Besides investigating and optimising the efficacy, toxicity and deliverability of our antiviral compounds, we also started three closely related research projects. One focuses on the possibilities of a Cytokine Storm mitigating effect of our compounds in Ebola and severe Dengue.
The other project concentrates on the possibility of an application of our compounds in a HIV reservoir wake-up strategy and the third project focuses on mechanisms that could prevent our compounds from surpassing the placenta barrier, which could make future compounds usable for pregnant woman in Zika risk areas.
